How can you help the resistance women of that time? By telling their story and giving them a face on Wikipedia. On May 5, 2023, Atria Knowledge Institute is organizing a Wikipedia writing afternoon about resistance women. Who were these women and why don't we know their stories yet?

Women of the Resistance

Illustrating a portrait is not easy. How do you "catch" someone with your pen as they are/was? That's a wonderful challenge! Unfortunately, we often only have photos of people born before the war. For example, I received a series of photos via Atria of resistance women who deserve a place on the internet with their heroic work. So I was inspired by the story of Annie Averink.

I was looking for the right colors, the right tone to capture the right feeling of that time.
